Christmas in September

Today I was excited to get started on making my Christmas cards. I typically wait until last minute and end up mailing store bought cards because I have run out of time. This year I am determined to get started early so that I get them done! Today I made my first two Christmas cards and I am happy with how they turned out. Thanks for looking!

Cards and Curry

Today has been a nice, relaxing day. Kyler went to school this morning and I was able to do errands and clean house before I had to pick him up. This afternoon I made my moms recipe for Chicken Curry. It is so delicious! I also took out a bunch of stamp stuff (and borrowed a few items from my neighbor Betty) to make these cards. Today was a great day!

Kyler's Big Day

Today my son began his first day of Kindergarten. It was bittersweet for me. I am so used to him ALWAYS being with me, I keep wanting to call out his name to see where he is in the house. Will take some getting used to. On the other hand, I think in time I will really enjoy these quiet moments where I can think about something other than "kid stuff"... I really want to get back into my exercise routine, I want to reorganize my cookbook, I want to start doing more creative menu planning and cooking, I want to make more cards.... I look forward to doing all those things. Meanwhile, here are some pics from his first day. He did so much better than I expected. He was very excited to meet his teacher and see his classroom. Praying he is having a fun first day...
